Whoa. Hard to believe it's been over a month since I last put anything on here. Time flies like the wind, but fruit flies like a banana. I know, bad joke. Bear with me, it's been weird lately.

Where to start? Well, The Better Half™ has been diagnosed with deterioration of the cervical discs. She has an appointment with a neurosurgeon this week, and then we'll have a better idea of what can be done to fix said problem. As of right now, her right arm is so painful that she has to take big doses of painkiller to be able to sleep at night. SR had a bout of pneumonia and RSV in January which she is still recovering from. Definitely not a lot of fun, especially for her. JT and PJ are your typical teenagers, moody and mouthy, even though their medications were changed last month. I guess there's no medical cure for being a teenager. Too bad.

The Islamonazis are still killing people over those stupid cartoons in the Danish newspaper. You'd think they'd find something worthwhile to expend their energy on, but noooo. And we're supposed to respect their "religion". Hey Mohammed, bees pee upon you!

The local radio station held a radiothon to raise money for Duke Children's Hospital. The money will be used to buy stuff to keep the kids in care busy, things like DVDs, CDs, toys, etc. They raised almost $920,000 in a little over three days. Good stuff! If anyone's interested, here's a link

The weatherman was calling for snow today, but all we saw was a very light dusting, barely noticeable. My mother, though, up in Halifax County, had enough snow to cover the roofs, coat the grass, and generally look very nice. Yes, I'm jealous - why do you ask?

Okay, enough drivel for now. Must go finish getting SR ready for her nightly feed. I'll be back.
