Geez, how time flies! I turned a year older yesterday. 48 doesn't sound too old unless you're the one who's 48. Well, I guess it beats the alternative. At least I'm still looking at the grass from the top down instead of vice versa.

My little girl SR had to go to the doctor's yesterday; she was running a fever of 103, which in an almost-two year old is NOT good. So far there are no answers as to what is causing the fever, but at least the fever broke yesterday afternoon and she slept all night. Let me tell you, there were some tense times there yesterday. All I could think about was Faith, and how this was not going to be a repeat of five years ago. I lost one little girl, I ain't about to lose another one.

Talked to Rich the Marine last night. Actually, I speak to him about every day lately. He gets bored after his duty shift, so he gets on the cell phone and calls home. If you think about it, it's kinda weird to get a phone call from Yuma, AZ every day, but I'm not complaining. It's always good to hear about his day, even if he didn't do much more than fuel and water Harriers all day. Hell, he's on the flightline! How cool is that! Anyway, he thinks now that he's going to Japan after his training. Works for me. His uncle and his uncle's wife both spent time in Japan while they were in the Air Farce years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. We shall see what we shall see.

Finally got the home PC up and running, at least The Better Half™ did. Turns out the autoexec file was infected. That could explain a lot . . .
