OK, I lied. I really, really meant to leave this thing alone for a while, but world events have conspired to make that impossible. I mean, it's hard to ignore shit like this. I'm really starting to get tired of all the crap overseas. Now that I have a son in the Marines, it's starting to hit real close to home. Yes, I'm scared for him. Yes, I know he'll probably end up in the Middle East before his enlistment is up. Can I do anything to stop it? No, I can't. He's 20 years old now and a man in his own right; hell, he's a Marine, which is something his old man never did.

What should we do about the WoT? Don't ask me, I'm not a pundit. Emperor Misha and InstaPundit have discussed this subject extensively, and they're not the only ones. There are a lot of blogs out there that are much more politically savvy than I'll ever be; all you have to do is go look. My personal opinions are all that I have, and if you want to know, just ask. (Hmmm hmmm HMMMM hmmm) Glad you asked! Personally, I believe we should concentrate all our efforts towards rooting out the masterminds of all these terrorist organizations and snuffing them out on the spot. A tacnuke on Mecca would be a good start . . . nah, just kidding. Or maybe not. All I know is, until we get the bozos who keep telling their followers to kill Americans, Americans will continue to be killed. And isn't it amazing how those leaders who keep telling their followers that it is a holy obligation to martyr themselves never seem to lead by example??  ¶ 5:15 PM
