Steve Centanni and Olaf Wiig, still missing. No news is good news? Somehow, when you have Islamofascists involved, no news usually ends up being bad news. Keep Steve and Olaf in your prayers.

What's been happening since the last post last month? Last month? *looks at last post again* Yep, last month. OK, I'm slack, sue me. Now where was I . . . oh yeah, we have another guest at the cave. Ray is a four and a half year old paraplegic who became paraplegic after being run over by a car. Sounds way too cut and dried, but there it is. Now, before anyone starts bawling about "oh, the poor little handicapped kid", let me tell you right now that Ray is far from handicapped. Yes, he can't feel anything from the waist down, and yes, he has to wear a colostomy bag, but when it comes to getting where he wants to go, there's no stopping him. I've threatened to give him a speeding ticket if he doesn't slow down his wheelchair in the house. He just grins and wheels off. So don't give me any of that "poor child" crapola, there is no "poor me" allowed in my house. You have a problem or a disability, learn to deal with it. The world isn't going to cut you any slack, and neither am I.

Now, turning to the news, Israel and Hiz'b'Allah had a quick little war which, through the infinite wisdom of the United Nitwits, was brought to a truce. Of course, being true to the little cockroaches they are, Hiz'b'Allah is using the truce to rearm, re-equip and recruit. Consistent little bastards, aren't they? The US and Israel need to relearn what history has (at least, I thought it had) taught us -- you don't win a war until your enemy is totally defeated, emphasis on the totally. Where is General Sherman when you need him? We (meaning the US and Israel) need to go full tilt apeshit medieval on the terrorists and show then once and for all that you don't f**k with us unless you want to end up dead.

I'm trying to stay optimistic about the war on terror, but lately I haven't seen a lot to encourage me. My son the Marine is coming home on Thursday for a week or so, so maybe I'll ask him some of this stuff. Thank God for the warblogs, otherwise I'd think we'd already lost the war.
